I don't want this to be just about me. It's about you, and I, and how we reach a mutual goal together. Whether the goal is getting the most out of your musical experience or your child's, your goal and my goal must line up and become unified.

Experiencing the joy of making music is about time on the instrument, patience, persistence, listening, attention to detail and good practice habits.

A good teacher will dramatically improve your chances of success making music. A good teacher is a coach, leader, observer, troubleshooter, friend, mentor, confidant, disciplinarian, facilitator, sounding board and on and on. A good teacher knows how to listen as well as speak. A good teacher is constantly searching for new ways to approach proven philosophies. A good teacher will be willing to look for the approach that works best for the student and yet accomplishes the desired end result. A good teacher doesn't always let you have your way and many times encourages you through things you don't want to do .
