About
My studio provides Beginning through Advanced Lessons for all ages of students on Piano, Violin, Singing, Theory, and Ensemble Playing. Lessons are tailored to fit the specific goals of the student including Classical, Folk, Jazz, Blues, Pop, and Gospel music. I am a member of Music Teachers' National Association and students have access to all local and state educations functions including music festivals, concerts, ensemble opportunities, theory exams, etc. I have been teaching for 25 years and very much enjoy helping students grow musically.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meet the student where they are musically and help them build basic skills. Techinical facility, music decoding, rhythm interpretation, historical context, etc. A Song at a Time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Private lessons throughout childhood and beyond.
2 year musicianship program at Olympic Community College plus theory classes at University of Washington.
MTNA Teacher Workshops at national, state, and local levels. Approximately three per year for 24 years.
25 years experience as church accompanist and singer.
27 years experience playing violin in various chamber ensembles and fiddle groups.
