I offer lessons via zoom or FaceTime for both vocal and string instruction. I have over 30 years of string experience and 20 years as a vocalist. I have played in 3 symphony's over the past 15 years and been a member of more than 15 elite choirs/ensembles world wide.
I teach beginner through advanced strings and vocals. I'm classically trained on the violin/viola, and vocally in opera/theater. I branched out into pop, folk & blue grass as well for vocals and strings.
For string & voice students I prefer using the Alexander technique for posture, performance and sustainability as a musician. However I'm open to personal preference and am qualified to teach a variety of methodologies.
I'm passionate about playing, singing & teaching. I find this makes a huge difference to students both beginners and advanced. I'm also a person who still performs so I understand and relate with those I teach. I love that I teach and learn from each student I work with.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meet the student and get to know the person and their goals. Then I evaluate within those parameters and we make a plan that fits their schedule to meet the goals effectively in a realistic time frame.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a certified teacher as well as having a secondary degree in music performance. I have been a musician for over 30 years and have played professionally for 20 years.

First lesson is only $25/hour. After the first lesson we work our subsequent pricing. I teach 30/45/60 min lessons. Prices start at $25 and go up to $60.
