I specialize in teaching beginners to upper intermediate level pianists especially children ages 6-12 and teenagers ages 13-18.
I can teach remotely via Skype, Zoom or FaceTime or in my private studio in Edmonds, WA
I am a member of Washington state music teachers Association and the Edmonds music teacher's Association
I hold piano recitals twice a year with many other opportunities to perform and compete through the EMTA including music festivals and community recitals!
I participate in the Musical Artistry Program through WSMTA
I enjoy working with beginners at the piano and showing them how to play new songs and how to read music!
I enjoy imparting the love of music to children and teenagers!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
At your first lesson- I will assess your piano skill level and have you play something for me and I will ask questions about your goals and music preferences-if you are a beginner I will explain the keyboard and show you how to play your first few songs!
I will teach piano scales, chords, and exercises suited to your level.
I will recommend method books to start your piano studies!
