One of the reasons I love teaching music is because it opens the door to great opportunities for my students. For those students who are learning to develop their singing voice or play an instrument, music is an experience that activates creative genius.

My students learn how to train their ear to recognize musical patterns in the songs they’re learning to sing and play as they develop the skills to recognize when their voice and instrument are out of tune. I also coach students in how to play their music and practice between lessons so that they are building their music muscles as they become strong musicians.

I’ve been teaching voice, piano, guitar, ukulele and flute to students of all ages and backgrounds for nearly 30 years, not only as a private music instructor, but also in the music classroom. I’d love to talk with you about your goals for learning.
