Playing Piano for the past 30 years became to me more than just a skill. It instilled in me qualities such as diligence, dedication, consistency and responsibility, all of which have become valuable lifetime tools and have helped shaped my personality. As an experienced piano teacher, I am not only an instructor, who gives directions on “how to play”, but also someone, whom one can trust and befriend. I try to pass to my students the love for music and the passion for piano playing, which very often later in life becomes much appreciated. As born and raised in Poland, I received my primary and secondary education (K-12) from the State School of Music in Bielsko-Biala (Poland), graduating with a major in Piano. I completed my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Musicology at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. My polish college degree has been evaluated in US and is an equivalent to M.A. in Music. As a member of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Washington State Music Teacher Association (WSMTA) and Eastside Chapter of WSMTA, I attend workshops and educational programs and engage in other activities on a continuing basis in order to provide opportunities for my professional growth.I approach students as individuals and attempt to challenge each according to their own unique potential. Music is not always easy and “fun” however, given sufficient time and structured practice it does become enjoyable to master the many different aspects of this art.My responsibility to the student is to provide an atmosphere for learning and a well-balanced musical education.
Lessons are conducted at the teacher’s or student’s home (Eastside).
