My strength is the accumulation of knowledge and experience with various students. I enjoy applying customized lesson plan (including remote lessons) to each individuals according to their need. We do have annual piano student’s recital, which is undoubtedly the highlight of my lesson program for almost all students.
This is what I love to do: teaching students what I had learned and watch them grow in the area of playing piano or keyboards.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Establish good habits (practicing regularly, keep finger nails short, correct posture and hand position, finger form)

Took keyboard lesson since 3 years old.
Studied organ performance at Music school in HigashiNakano, Tokyo.
Studied Musicology at International Christian University in Tokyo.
Studied at Conservatory (Weseleyan College) as an exchange keyboard student for a year.
Masterclass, Piano pedagogy at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.
Choir director at Japanese Community Church of Tacoma for 35 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lesson fee $100 monthly (3.5 average lessons of 30 minutes each)
42 total private lessons throughout the year. Annual tuition is $1200 (30 minutes each lesson)
All student is expected to participate in November Student Recital unless exempted. No cost to students to participate.
How did you get started teaching?
One of my toutoring parents asked me to give their child a piano lesson when I was a music student in college.
What types of students have you worked with?
Typically beginners. Young and aged.
Some had previous lesson experienced.
Many stick to my instruction more than 5 years before either moving out the area, graduate high school. However, I enjoy working with much older generations even more!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Student Recital is always the highlight of the year.
We also create Recording of the Recital album and share among the students who participated that year.
