Hoffpauir Music Studio

I am a former public school music teacher with over 15 years of experience in teaching private piano lessons. I enjoy teaching both adults and children and I work hard to adjust each lesson to meet the needs of individual learners.

I believe that the key to becoming a great musician is in patient and consistent practice. I teach every student to become a self-regulated practicer who has a toolbox of techniques for practicing well. I expect my students to come lessons prepared and ready to demonstrate their practice, but I know that students need to be taught how to practice well and that every student will learn in different ways.

I also believe that performing is an important part of learning to be a musician, as it provides an opportunity for musicians to share their learning and talent with others in their families and communities. I encourage my students to participate in frequent recitals and other performance venues.

I love watching my students grow as musicians from week to week and year to year. I also love working with beginners who are just learning to love their instruments as well with musicians with several years experience and more advanced skill levels.
