About

Your resource for quality and affordable music lessons and music therapy. Conservatory quality private lessons, small group music classes, and music therapy in downtown Olympia, Seattle (Burien), and virtually anywhere in the world with Internet. The Tuned In Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit academy.

Our focus is on quality, relational, and thorough education to real people, not numbers. We keep our class sizes small for lots of hands on, fun, and relational music making and teaching. We offer music instruction in band instruments (such as trumpet, trombone, saxophone, and clarinet), percussion (drums and mallets), piano, and voice. We teach orchestra instruments; violin and cello. Of course, we also teach stringed instruments like bass, ukulele, and guitar. And we offer private lessons in rap and hip-hop.

In addition to voice and instruments, we also teach songwriting and music production. Write your own music, tell your own story, record, produce, and put your own music out into the world.

TIA faculty are graduates from excellent programs at schools like Berklee College of Music, the number one music school in the world, Western Washington University, a top ten music college in Washington state, and Northwestern University, one of the top five music programs in the country.

In addition to our professional musician-educator faculty, we have a highly capable, extensively trained, seasoned, fun, energetic, and experienced student faculty member. TIA is also the only non-profit academy of music in the area with our very own board certified, licensed music therapist on our team.

Performing music for others is important! Are you looking for performance opportunities? You've come to the right place! We have between 8-10 opportunities a year, and some very special opportunities that we keep hush hush as they are proprietary. If you are a part of TIA, we can assure you that you will have opportunities to share your music live before others every semester if you choose.
