Marren suggests appropriate music, that challenges the student but is playable and fun. She is flexible in terms of which pieces the student wants to play. Sets realistic goals to achieve each week and is clear about what to work on every week.
Before we start lessons, I like to know how much music background my student has, with and without piano. Then we start on the level of books determined best for the student. I like to know what type of music my student wants to learn and is interested, to keep their passion burning.
