Nearly 20 years of piano-playing experience and 3 years teaching, Marren uses her piano background, which includes instruction from Brigham Young University, to help her pupils grow in their own music journey.
I love seeing my students progress and learn to play beautiful music! We all have music inside us, it's about getting the right tools to make the music happen.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before we start lessons, I like to know how much music background my student has, with and without piano. Then we start on the level of books determined best for the student. I like to know what type of music my student wants to learn and is interested, to keep their passion burning.

How did you get started teaching?
My piano teacher, who has a degree in music and teaching, gave me lessons on teaching piano and assessed my teaching methods at the end of the course

Beginner and intermediate students, ages 5-18.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

-It is VERY important to me that my students feel comfortable asking questions and experimenting. This is a learning and growth zone!
