A quality music education is a gift that begins with curiosity and enchantment and ends with confidence and the ability to learn and perform/share with others any piece of music in the world. It's just like learning to read words, so that one can pick up a book, and read to themselves, or to others.
With music, we step beyond words just a bit more because music can include words or not, and has an energy that is independent of words: an energy that connects us with the universe, as well as our human soul.
In short, a quality music education is the ability to sing a song, play an instrument, or tap a rhythm, and know, hear, and feel that miracle of life that is you.

I work with students to help them realize their full musical potential, understand music theory easily, and enjoy the mastery of playing the piano well, reading music easily, and expressing themselves through the music. More about my philosophy of teaching can be found on my website. www.insidethemusic.com
