About
I am offering lessons to students of all ages. I teach classical violin, primarily, but also offer training in different styles such as fiddling, jazz, and pop songs. I believe in finding an approach that works best for a given student. I offer a comprehensive background in music theory and ear training.
I love watching students grow and the joy they have in performing. I love seeing what they can discover in studying music!

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied pedagogy throughout my Bachelors of Music, from Lawrence Conservatory, and my Masters in Music, from Indiana University. I have been consistently teaching privately the last three years, and coaching chamber ensembles for the past five years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My general rates are as follows:
30 minute lesson = $30
45 minute lesson = 45$
60 minute lesson = 60$
However, I understand that not all students can afford these prices. I am flexible in my rates, so please reach out if you are interested in lessons and we can work something out!
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching in high school, as a chamber coach and assistant to one of my first violin teachers. I learn the most when I teach, and I love hearing the stories of what inspires my students to play.
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach all ages. I've worked with young students and adult amateurs primarily, and enjoy the process of seeing the different places in a life a student can start.
