About
Scott has studied the violin for 13 years and the piano for 10 years. Since the age of 5, he has found a strong passion for music, leading him to not only enjoy performing as a soloist but also as a team player in the orchestral setting. Scott has competed in numerous music competitions. He has received multiple first and second-place awards for the violin and piano in the MusicFest Northwest competitions, competed at the 2019 state WMEA Solo and Ensemble competition, finished second in the 2020 WSMTA State Recitalist Competition, and performed as a violin soloist with the Spokane Symphony and Spokane Youth Symphony. As a strong leader and collaborator, Scott has participated and acted as concertmaster in the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra, Spokane Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the University High School Chamber Orchestra.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would like to get to know my students a little more prior to their first lesson. An initial consultation can give me a better understanding of how I can assist in the student's musical studies and give the student a warm first impression. From there, we can see exactly what works best!

What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with beginner and intermediate high school students, however, I am open to teaching younger students from K-12. My repertoire and area of expertise mainly consist of classical music.
