About
I have 34 years experience teaching and performing in the US and Russia. I have a Doctoral of Music Arts in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from a Russian Conservatory. I have taught all ages and levels -from 3 year old beginners to preparing students for a Doctoral program. I believe that an individual approach in teaching is a key to achieving professional goals in studying any instrument and playing technique. I select individual learning materials for each studentand use my own methods, which I have developed during my professional teaching career. Many of my students have participated in national auditions and competitions both here and in Russia, and have continued their professional music education. I also teach ensemble playing with different instruments, accompaniement, duets and voice as children love this form of expression.
My goal is for my students to experience the joy of performing and exhibit fearlessness on the stage. I enjoy performing myself and want to give this experience and opportunity to others. I enjoy, particularly, when my students are prepared for class, have practiced and are ready to advance their knowledge and skills so they can express themselves in performance.
