I enjoy helping students learn an artistic skill that will stay with them throughout life. Music is an incredible outlet for expression. Whether they perform in public or just play at home for themselves, it's a healthy way to release tension and allow emotions to flow freely. All levels welcome. Ages 5 to adult. It's never too late to learn. I'm a professional musician and recording artist. I love sharing my skills. I have 35 years of experience performing in bands and ensembles which have given me insights that I'm happy to share to get you playing with other musicians.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assess the students' current skill set and we develop a plan that best suits their goals. I am equally comfortable teaching beginners through advanced players.
Styles include: Classical, Suzuki/Rolland hybrid, Fiddle (Irish, Old-Time, Bluegrass, Blues, Rock, Pop)
Ear training, sight reading, composing, chords, backing, and improvisation are all taught as important aspects of being a well-rounded musician. Can also provide advice on looping, multi-effects pedals, & recording tips.
I encourage students to play in bi-annual recitals, local jam sessions, orchestras, bands, and I provide other performance opportunities whenever possible.

What are your long term goals as a musician? Do you want to play in an orchestra, join jam sessions, learn songwriting, play in bands, improve your music theory, or just learn as a hobby? I'm happy to help you achieve those goals.
