Hello, my name is Michael (Mike) Brenton. I own and operate Brenton Music Center, located in Moody, Alabama. I teach guitar, piano, bass & the fundamental basics of banjo & mandolin.
I have a Bachelor of Music degree in piano from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. I also have more than eleven years experience in classical guitar. I studied in a Classical Guitar Master Class With Christopher Parkening August 11-14 1980 in Bozeman, Montana & was chosen as one of the participants to play in a recital.
I have been teaching music from 1976 to present. My goal is to see students progress and achieve their potential goal.
I studied classical guitar with David Walbert, who previously taught at Fretted Instruments, and who now teaches out of his home.
I had two great piano teachers, Mrs. Fitzsimmons, who taught me at Jefferson State Jr. College in Birmingham, Alabama and Mr. Steve Nelson, who taught me at Samford University.
I look forward to teaching students who are dedicated & serious about their learning experience. Theory is taught for piano students as well as scales.
I also teach the basic fundamentals of Banjo and Mandolin.
