My teaching approach:
We use the Vh1 100 Greatest Songs of Rock & Roll book as well as the Alfred's Guitar Method, Book 1. Both are available at our online music store through Amazon: http://www.fretzeroguitar.com/music-store/

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:
Do a run through of the beginner's book if they are a beginner, usually getting up to playing on the first / 2nd strings. If they are intermediate already we will do some songs. If they are advanced we might check the scales and modes, and see what they want to learn.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
It depends on the student, but I try to teach one or two songs per lesson at least, unless it is a quite involved lesson with many parts to one song.
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
