I love teaching. I love it when I get to see someone grasp a concept or complete a task with my help. It is very gratifying for me to share in the success of others. I like spreading and sharing the lifestyle of music and martial arts. 20 years playing guitar and it still never disappoints me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Introduction lesson, then custom lesson plan based on student's goals and time constraints.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Associates degree in Music Technology and 7 years classical guitar training. 10 years martial arts training with a 3rd degree black belt in Tang Soo Do and a black belt in Judo, Yudo, and Jiujitsu. 15 years teaching experience.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I usually start at 50$ per hour. I can work with most students based on travel and accommodations. I can also break lessons into half-hours.

How did you get started teaching?

Just sharing knowledge with friends. Whenever I would learn a new song, I immediately went to a friends house to teach it to them so we could play it. Everything grew from there. I have always had good teachers in my life that were vital to my progression and I like being that for someone else.

What types of students have you worked with?

All ages and demographics.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Know yourself. Know what it is you want and be willing to work for it.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

How much time can I allot for practicing weekly.
