Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We have an all online registration process where a student may submit a request for lessons.
Our staff will then receive that registration and connect them to the instructor that is best suited for their desires and skillset.
LRSotA then helps facilitate scheduling between both the instructor and the student as well as provides a common ground location for the lessons to take place.
Once day and time are set the LRSotA Staff will get you into our quickbooks invoicing software where you will then have until the end of the month to complete your payment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Al of our Instructors are trianed in their individual fields with at leasts a bachelors degree in that field and at least 5 years of on hand experiance in that field.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We do Private lessons and Groups lessons (groups are by availbility only) with vary time increments
Private lessons are $30 for 30 Minutes, $40 for 45 minutes, and $50 for a full hour lesson.
Group Lessons are $15, $20, and $25 for the same times.
We also have an acting course for Kinder-8th grades which is $45 per month, and many other 1 day seminars that vary in pricing.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with students from all walks of life who are touching a guitar for the first time or for the 1,000th time. We know that we all have something to learn from one another reguardless of who we are or where we come from!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We do recitals that we like to affectionately call showcases. On is spring and another in fall where our whole organization comes out to show a little bit of what they have been working on over the past couple of months.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't search on skill or price alone but please also look for an instructor who is going to invest in your student, and an organization that values relationships with your families over the bottom line.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about your dreams and aspirations with your requested field. Then upon meeting or speaking with your instructor for the first time ask how he/she can help you make those dreams come true! If they can't think of how to make those happen then they arent the right instructor for you!
