About
I allow the student to pick out selections they like from church, movies, or pop songs and arrange them for their level. I have frequent recitals, encourage duets, give group classes some, and have parties each year to build a sense of community.
The joy the students have in playing songs they like realizing music is fun. I try to make it fun for my students as well as educational. I incorporate theory in each lesson and encourage playing by ear.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Starting where they are, using a lesson book, showing them by hands on playing, listening to the song on a CD, rhythm exercises, note recognition games.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Took piano lessons for 13 years
i have 26 hours in music classes at college.
I have played most of my adult life for church, both piano and organ.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $20.00 for half an hour at my house, and $25.00 for half an hour if I go to the student’s house.
