About
As a professional studio musician and performance artist, I am well versed in music theory, chord theory, ear training and the circle of fifths.
My goal is to help you become comfortable with your instrument, increase your skill level and ultimately to teach you how to teach yourself.
I love seeing my students gain an understanding of music and guitar. Watching them figure out a new song or technique is a huge thrill. Knowing I helped you learn a gift you can use for the rest of your life is my biggest joy.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Discover where the student is at currently. Find out what the goals are. Search for influence that help us model their style to reach our goal. Then we use theory and practice to achieve our goals. My main task is help you learn how to help yourself learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained in music theory and technique by some respected players. I also studied music theory in high school and college.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I generally charge $150 per month. If a month has 5 weeks, the 5th lesson is free. These rates are flexible.
How did you get started teaching?
I found about 20 years ago that students appreciate my balance between theory and playing. I have had as many as 45 weekly students at one time before. I am very comfortable with teaching.
What types of students have you worked with?
Everyone from beginners to intermediate. From 5 years old to 85 years old and everyone in between. Sometimes, I'm not the best fit, bit I tend to get along well with many different types of people.
