I'm a nationally touring guitarist, and help my students play their favorite songs in multiple styles.
In my 16 years of playing, I have performed with Rick Springfield, Weezer, The Commodores, Death Cab for Cutie, Grand Funk Railroad, Fitz & the Tantrums, X Ambassadors, Howard Jones, and many more.
I love inspiring a passion for music in students. Once they really "click" with their instrument, they're unstoppable!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A skill evaluation - technique, timing, form. Next I learn about their preferred style, artists they like, and songs they want to learn. Finally, I prepare a plan that mixes technique exercises, songs at an appropriate difficulty, and practice regimen.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a nationally touring guitarist and have been playing and gigging since 2003.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$40 per half hour, which includes travel to the student's preferred location.
$50 for 45 minutes
$60 for 1 hour
What types of students have you worked with?
I most often work with teens, however I have also taught adults.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Each student has different learning styles. Understanding your own preferred way to learn will help with finding a teacher that can accomodate.
