Making Moore Music
About
I get to know my students on a professional level as well as personal level, so that they can recieve training tailored exactly to their skill level and interests. I push students to grow quickly and have great foundations for music enjoyment to come. I studied music all through college at Grand Canyon University, recieving my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. I am a performer as well as a teacher, and have performed with numerous groups in multiple genres and venues--from Jazz to Classical, Pop to Bluegrass, Indie Rock to Contemporary Christian music.
I love everything about the work I do. It goes back to the saying: "love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life." That is exactly how I feel about teaching music and performing. Studnets never cease to amaze me with their individual creative abilities as well as their wisdom that I continue to learn each day from them. ALL students have value to me and I stive my very best to bring out all that a student is capable of in their music making and as a person.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first get to know who the student is, what they are all about, and then get into their goals with music. Once we have direction and a firm starting point, we jump right in. My main goal as a teacher is to bring out the best in a person--their mind, their talent, their emotional state expressed through music, and the fullness of who they are as a person. Lessons are directed at foundations first, but immediate application into music of new concepts we learn, whether that is reading music for the first time or sweep picking a guitar lead line for a show coming up.
