I have a great passion to help others advance their musical and guitar understanding. I work with individual's and draft a comprehensive plan geared towards achieving their musical goals. I have great knowledge in Music Theory and various styles of music. Whether you are just a beginner, looking to advance musical knowledge, or learning to compose your own material together we can help reach your musical goals!
I enjoy working with people and seeing the progress they make on their instruments. I also enjoy hearing the music my students create and seeing how they are proud of the music they create.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I work with new students I conduct an assessment that helps me measure the level that a student performs at. Our first lessons includes a series of questions that helps me understand what the student's musical goals are. After the assessment, I can then create lesson plans that help the student reach their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught at ASU through the string project, which provides lessons to valley middle school and high school students.
I was also the music theory tutor at Phoenix College when I was completing my Associate Degree.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching family members and friends. Being at ASU has also provided me with many opportunities to teach students of multiple ages and skill levels.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging from 7-65yrs old. I have taught students who are beginers and intermediate.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Advise for seeking a teacher is, making sure they are certified or complting certification to teach. Making sure that they have a clear background and that you have a good relationship with the instructor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The student should have a clear understanding on what they want to learn. Students should consider learning music theory in their lessons.
