My teaching approach:
Variety of music styles... Approach is unique... mix of building traditional foundation ... understanding music, chords and music flow (progressions) along with the best tips from how" self taught " musicians learn to play music". Play along with great music tracks,... the results is to be able to "really play" more quickly, be motivated, have fun at this ... make it a great experience!!

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:
Ask questions, have them demonstrate what they can do. Give them a simple guitar riff, so I can evalaluate finger dexterity. Give them something they can play!

Each lesson will tie to a real example in "your kind of music" ! We may use tab, sheet music and/or a video track. Depending upon your abilities... we would most likely jam and/or record!
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
