About
I've been I musician all my life. I've also taught for over 25 years, which I love. I thought in public school music as well as privately. I have also played professionally. I play piano and guitar and ukulele and I also teach singing lessons. I think music brings out the best of people and it is great for your soul. You don't have to be great at it ,but Lessons will help to make you feel better and give you a sense of accomplishment. I try to make the lessons fun and exciting and students learn something new in every lesson.
I love it when a student, works hard at learning a new song and gets that smile on their face when they've accomplished it. I also love the joy in just playing music which releases endorphins in the brain and makes you feel happy.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I offer an introductory lesson. This is a way for the students to get a chance to see how I teach and for me to get an idea of their proficiency level. After that we set up a date and time and I let them know of my policies and pay scale.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree in music education, and as I stated I taught for 25 years in the public school setting elementary and junior high music. I have also played professionally often on for 10 to 15 years, either as solo or in a band. I have taught private lessons since 2005 and I also taught in music store lessons. The store was called Music and Arts.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do offer set prices. If I travel to the home I charge $35. If I have lessons at my home then it is $30 for the half hour. The price of lessons can vary depending on the area of the country that I'm teaching in. The prices in Arizona that I thought were listed above. The prices for Alaska may vary.
