Peoria Guitar School

Prior to starting guitar lessons at Peoria Guitar School, I had received 2 years of instruction at Guitar Center. Not only did I get a full hour for the price of a 30-minute session at GC, but the instruction was also much more clear and easier to comprehend. I had struggled with music theory and instructor Tommy made it very easy to connect the dots that GC had failed to make. Now I have a firm understanding of the fretboard, modal patterns, chord progressions, and scales. I also fine-tuned my strumming and fretting techniques. Tommy has also been very flexible during the pandemic by offering video conference lessons and safety measures in the studio. A+++++

It is a great experience learning guitar from an experienced and knowledgeable guitarist. There are several impressive features in taking lessons from Tommy. He accurately evaluates where you are in your current knowledge and understanding and then starts from there. I have played off and on throughout my life. After retiring a went back to playing my Gibson Hummingbird and then realized I missed having an electric guitar. I got a Les Paul and really enjoyed it, but realized I was stuck in my limited knowledge and skill. Last fall I got a flyer regarding the Peoria Guitar School and decided I would finally do guitar lessons again. At 70 I started again with Tommy in January of this year. I have been able to get the basic theory, skill, and motivation to enjoy playing again. Tommy has a kind gentle teaching style that includes learning new material and developing your playing techniques that motivates you to want more and progress. I highly recommend him as a teacher/mentor regardless if you are a beginner or an advanced experienced guitarist. Thanks for your help Tommy.

Tommy is an incredible guitar instructor. He really works with you to learn the fundamentals of music. I really like his online scheduling system making it very easy to set up appointments. This guy knows his rock so if that is an interest of yours then you are going to the right guy. You will be playing in no time!
