About

I have been playing and writing music since I have been in High School (before 2011). My playing styles and experience include classic rock, punk rock, metal, alternative, and some reggae and country influences.

I have been teaching close friends and family members the methods of playing and creating music for a few years now and I am looking to expand and teach others.

Depending on the student's experience level, topics to be covered in the lessons will vary.

For beginners, lessons will include hand positioning and conditioning, fretting technique, chord structure, scales, rhythm training, and music theory (learning notes and basic song structure).

For intermediate students, we will take the basics from the beginner's lessons, and apply them to learning cover songs, refining techniques, being able to "jump" into a key from ear, more advanced scale progressions, and an introduction to songwriting.

For advanced players, once these skills are already obtained, we will explore the concepts of "jamming" and playing with other musicians. These lessons will be generally less structured and will be based around the performance of songs in a group of 2 or more.

I am a very patient person and understand that learning an instrument takes much time and practice. I will not rush any of my students and will do my best to ensure that I am teaching at a level that will enable the student to learn as much as possible in the amount of time provided.

Overall, on a personal note, I feel that music is about enjoying and expressing yourself. Music is a way to deal with certain emotions that are otherwise difficult to comprehend or explain. My goal here is to do my best to help all musicians and artists reach their goals and dreams.

I hope to see you soon, and just remember, keep on playing!
