The teachers at Drum & Drummer have been hand selected not just for their excellent skills on their respective instruments, but also for their demeanor, patience, and professionalism. Each instructor also brings to the table his own specialty with regards to style and background. This really rounds out the very wide variety of expertise that makes up our teaching staff! Our private lessons are great for students of all skill levels and interests. They provide individualized instruction with customizable options to fit every student. We are also very excited to be offering a unique drum curriculum developed by Erik Truelove, the founder, and instructor at Drum & Drummer. This challenging and rewarding program called "The Colored Stick" Program is set up much like the martial arts. Each level has its own set of exercises, grooves, fills and concepts that need to be mastered. Then before being awarded each "Colored Stick" and accompanying certificate, the student must perform a song (which the teacher and student have worked out in advance) for their family and friends at our performance center.
