With over 40 years of playing and teaching experience, I offer professional guitar and bass instruction for students of all ages and skill levels. My background spans a wide range of musical styles including rock, country, jazz, classical, contemporary Christian music, blues, and modern popular music, allowing me to tailor lessons to each student’s personal interests and goals.

I combine strong musicianship with a deep understanding of music theory, helping students not only learn songs and techniques, but also understand how music works. Lessons can include chord theory, scales, improvisation, ear training, rhythm development, fretboard knowledge, songwriting, and performance skills — all taught in a clear, practical, and encouraging way.

I also specialize in the creative use of guitar and bass effects, teaching students how to use pedals, tone shaping, dynamics, and sound textures to enhance their playing and create professional-quality sounds across many genres.

I have extensive experience teaching children and work hard to make lessons fun, engaging, patient, and age-appropriate while still building solid musical foundations. For adult students, I provide a relaxed and supportive learning environment that encourages steady progress and confidence.
