From 14 years of taking lessons with Colin, I couldnt have asked for a better teacher. He not only helped me to become the piano player I am now, but he connected piano to life. He taught me how to connect my thoughts, feelings, and stories to the keyboard. He taught me how to be process-oriented when it came to learning or fixing parts of songs, which has been invaluable when learning any new skills. From learning Mary Had a Little Lamb, to one of Chopins preludes, the level of attention, constructive feedback, and energy Colin devoted was always consistent. Colin is a talented pianist with years of experience teaching children, young adults and adults. I had been wanting to take piano lessons for a long time and Colin was referred to me by a friend who raved about him and his teaching abilities.

When we first started he simplified everything for me to be able to read and play music in a short amount of time. He is patient but also pushes me to learn proper form and technique so that I don’t develop bad habits while playing, which is exactly what I wanted. Within just a few weeks I was so excited to be playing full songs!
