About
I've been teaching piano for over 25 years now, from ages 5 years old to 85! I bring to my lessons a great deal of fun and enjoyment. While I consistently impart the essential foundations, I also inspire my students to introduce music that resonates with their personal preferences. This approach ensures that the lessons remain thrilling for them. My primary focus in lessons always centers on the students' goals, striving to help them attain those objectives.
Teaching piano brings me immense joy, particularly when I witness the delight on my students' faces as they conquer a long-desired song or master a challenging section they've struggled with. Additionally, it's incredibly rewarding when students reach the point of being able to read and interpret sheet music independently, granting them the freedom to explore and learn their preferred songs.
My expertise lies in the realms of pop and Broadway music genres, and I am proficient in incorporating ear training and improvisation into the curriculum if desired.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know the student a bit by seeing what their level of piano playing is at, and then craft the lessons based on that. I like to ask the student questions, and see what goals they want to achieve in their lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained by the Cleveland Institute of Music. I have been a professional pianist for over 20 years now, specializing in pop/modern piano styles. I play at a lot of high end events and private parties throughout the LA area.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Usually $75 for a 30 minute lesson.
