More About Butch Dillon:
Butch Dillon is a Chicago born Musician, Songwriter, Producer and Musical director. His early career drew inspiration from his older sister's love of music; her eclectic vinyl collection allowed Dillon to experience a variety of musical styles from a very early age and with her guidance, he ventured in to the world of music. He began playing the bass, initially under the mentorship of Chicago Jazz staple "Doc' Jones, and later studying the Chicago conservatory of music. Dillon would go on to blend his musical education with his passion for the arts and launch on an genre spanning career.
During his career, Dillon has been a touring musician with some of Rock, Country Western and Soul Music's biggest names: Reba McEntire ,Tanya Tucker, Wynonna Judd, and Keith Sweat, to name a few. He has also been a bassist and Musical director for Legendary musician Percy Sledge and is well known for his time as bassist for the wildly successful Christian metal band Whitecross.
Dillon a Grammy nominated and Dove award winning artist, and has written and produced for Jazz and Soul legends Johnny Adams, Dobie Gray and Gospel Trio Out of Eden. He has also performed in music's most iconic venues, such as Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, and the Forum.
Today Dillon is currently performing as Bassist and Musical Director for New Beginnings Worship Center in Los Angeles, where he also is enjoying his tenure as Musical Educator at the Scale Academy.
I like seeing students grow and mature as musicians and develop as artists or musicians.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I talk to the student and parents at first depending on the age of the student. I like to find out a little bit about them and what they like, and even why they want to learn an instrument. I also tell a little about myself, why I like to teach, my favor music and so on......It's good to break the ice and learn a little about each other.
