My teaching approach:

I've played guitar for 11 years and piano 19. I begin with what is known as the CAGED sequence which demonstrates how to memorize scale positions on the fretboard. Once this is understood we move from the pentatonic blues scale to the septatonic natural scales and modes. I tackle theoretical concepts, such as modes, with a mnemonic approach I've created over the years. I am writing a book on it.
