About
My philosohy is to not only teach music, but foster a love for it. I do this typically by either simplifying a song they already love or by exposing them to new exciting music they can connect with. If a student develops the love for music, the sky is the limit.
The best part of my job by far is seeing my students grow. i can't tell you the pride I feel when I see a student's patience and hard work pay off whether its through the development of a new technique or finishing a challenging song.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, the first few lessons are a matter of establishing a set of goals and assessing what learning strategies work best for the student. From that point on it's largely about pursuing those goals and providing instruction that strikes a balance between being challenging, rewarding, and fun.
