    Frequently asked questions

After the phone interview, I like to meet face to face or via internet for a overview lesson which determines the ability of the student and find out a more direct path to help acheive the particular goals. Then we begin a structured journey to that fits individual vision.

I studied at Musician's Institute in Hollywood, Ca. I also studied at UCI in Irvine, Ca. I have been playing guitar and piano for over 30 years. I have been performing in bands and on my own for over 30 years and have been teaching music for over 20 years.

I ask $35.00 per halk hour and $70 per hour. If you buy 4 lessons you get the 5th lesson free. That is my "play it forward" approach.

When I was younger friends would listen to me play and ask if i could teach them how to play.

My age group ranges from 5 years old to as 100 years young! I appreciate all ages, styles and abilities.

I love rock and roll and I was fortunate enough to put out an albumn in 2019. I look forward to performing again soon!

My area of expertise would be soloing and improvisation. I love playing rock and blues and helping you to develope a style and sound of your own is something i strive to do.

I believe in being prepared. So here are a few of my favorite questions...

    1. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being professsional level), what type of player do you wish to be?

    2. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being professsional level), how good are you now?

    3. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being playing every day), how often do you practice or play?

    4. How often do you want to take lessons?

    5. What style of music do you want to learn?

    6. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being professsional level), how willing are you to do the homework and take instruction?

    7. Finally, do you want to have fun playing your instrument?
