My name is Ashkan. I love music and performing, and have been playing violin since I was 8 years old.
Some highlights of my experience include that I was one of the youngest members of the Iran International Syphony at age 13 for 2 years before attending an international boarding school in Malaysia. There, I taught over 40 students of varying ages and skill levels. In California, I've performed with the De Anza Chamber Orchestra. It's been an honor to study with multiple orchestras and great musicians, and I hope to spread the knowledge I've learned.
I am offering violin lessons along with music theory, as they absolutely goes hand to hand. For beginners, this means learning to read music, understand tempos, and learning techniques to succeed. Lessons for beginners are 30 minutes per session.
For more advanced students, in addition to continuing advanced technique and skill lessons, I can help recommend pieces for study to push and maximize growth. I will personally duet with you as well to understand group dynamics, and post-pandemic will be organizing group pieces and performances. Lessons are 1 hour each, with opportunities for further guided practice sessions.
My favorite composers are Bach and Tchaikovsky.
Looking forward to hearing from my future students!
