Kelly has been teaching music since 1987. After studying piano, composition, and classical voice, she served as a worship leader in northern california for several years. During this time she met the late Jo Estill. Under the direction of Estill, she became a master certified teacher in vocal physiology-one of three in the western united states. The Estill method teaches 13 different structures (figures) we can change within the human instrument to make a wide range of styles. Students gain the skills required to switch easily between styles such as pop, opera, and theatrical belting with no trauma to the voice. Her voice students have been with Disney, PBS kids, Universal, Capitol Records, and featured on American Idol. Many are performing in lead roles in musicals at local theaters, some have been featured and have won local competitions such as valley teen idol. Kelly has directed the music for award winning music theatre performances with Valley Christian Schools San Jose and Starstruck Theatre in Fremont. She is also an accomplished choral director and has directed all ages of choir from Kindergarten through senior adult.
Kelly herself is an accomplished voice over artist (My Tribe, Toon Town, League of Legends), published composer, and performer. She has taught in the San Francisco Bay Area for the last 30 years, and is now extending her lessons into the San Diego area in June of 2016.
