Are you looking for a Vocal Coach, or a Voice Teacher?
There is a Big Difference.
I am a Voice Teacher.
I teach technique in an Easy to Understand" method that I created out of my many years of Teaching and Learning from other Voice Teacherrs and Vocal Coaches.
I guarantee that I can help you or your student sing better in your first free lesson. Whether you are an experienced singer or not.
Is that all you will need? Nope, but you will want more.
I've been teaching voice and performance for over 25 years and I will help you bring out your best voice using a combination of Classical and Contemporary Techniques.
Want to Perform? I find places for my students to perform in public with real audiences and not just in a Recital format.
Want to share your progress with Family that is away? We make Holiday videos.
All this for no additional charge.
I get thrilled by seeing the excitement and happiness my students get when they see and hear their improvement.
I love seeing timid students open up and and turn into performers.
I cant even explain the excitement I get from watching a student get that rush after performing in front of a small crowd for the first time or when they make their first video.
When working with Adults, I love it when they either get a new passion for singing or are able to rekindle that passion!
Bruce has helped me so much with my confidence, especially with my upper range and mixed voice. Whenever I think I can't do something vocally, he encourages me to try anyway. He is the best at explaining how to get what I want from my voice. Bruce is an amazing vocal coach, I always look so forward to my voice lessons!
Sac Valley Vocals/ Walton Academy is a very student friendly environment. My son learned a lot from Mr. Bruce on how to sing. Highly recommended Voice Studio!
Bruce is very experienced Vocal Teacher. His techniques really helped my vocal quality and now I sing more freely. His lessons are very detailed and student oriented. He is the "BEST" vocal teacher in Elk Grove.
What’s not to like? Bruce is so kind and accommodating. He worked well with my daughter, from vocal lessons to math tutoring. She came out of her shell with her vocals and actually got to the point where she would sing in front of people. As for math tutoring, let’s just say she finished her freshman year of high school with an A+! I don’t trust too many people with my daughter, but I was more than comfortable dropping her off for tutoring and voice. Bruce is a great guy.😊
The first lesson is no charge.
In that Lesson, we spend the first few minutes talking to get to know each other and see what the student wants to do. Not what I think they should do.
Then we go over some basic breathing and singing techniques to give the student something to work on with some music of their choice. Afterall, there is nothing worse than leaving a lesson with nothing to work with.
Every person has a different voice and Every person should have their own style.
I studied Voice and Music Education at UOP's Conservatory of Music.
I completed my college music studies at CSU Sacramento concentrating in Voice Performance/ Pedagogy and Music Education.
I studied Voice with many Teachers over the year in the "Bel Canto" (Classical) tradition and also Contemporary styles since 1983.
I developed my own teaching method for students that draws from my over 35 years of Lessons, Teaching and performance experiences. My method uses both Classical and Contemporary techniques and is presented in an easy to follow system that uses common language and common sense.

I started teaching while studying voice in college back in the 90's to pay for my own lessons.
Since then, I've always been invoved to some degree of voice teaching and coaching while performing myself.
I enjoy teaching and watching students perform even more than I enjoyed performing myself.
I work with all levels and ages of singers.
Children, Teens and Adults.
I work with "Special Needs" students (I have a special needs child myself, so I get it!)
I have 5 students that recently auditioned for the Voice, and all but one got called back to the 2nd & 3rd levels.
