Human voice is a funny thing: we never pay attention to it when we speak. It comes to us so naturally that we don't even notice how we produce the sound. Everything changes, however, when we start to sing. Many questions arise seemingly out of nowhere. Why did I just run out of breath? Why does this note feel so high (low) and how do I reach it? I think I am on pitch but people say I sing flat. How do I fix it? Do I even have a voice at all? Each student is unique and as such so is each lesson plan I prepare. I take care to teach appropriate brass pedagogy to help with your technique. We work on fun stuff to including duets, soloi, may a little improv, etc.
Vocal students that are younger than 14 tend to get overlooked and I work with each on vowels and melodic warm ups to help sing naturally. No forced sing or belting in this studio. Vocal warm ups that are musical. You can do improv for voice as w student learns music theory. I prepare games to learn music theory.

We teach acting scene study for film. We draw a mostly on the inspiration of Stanislavski in order to produce natural film realism. This works whether you're doing comedy or drama. We have three weekly acting classes Tuesday evening, Thursday evening, and Saturday afternoon. I also work with small groups of two and three, and private instruction. Everything is based on shooting the scenes that we work on. We shoot scenes with our actors every week in our filmmaking workshop and this has provided material for the Actor demo reels that each student requires in order to be professional.
