This course was a game changer for me! 1 in 3 American women experience domestic violence, in their lifetimes. This is a shocking statistic! As a survivor of domestic abuse, I had gone to therapy to address the emotional scars, but it had never occurred to me to take a self-defense course and learn how to fight back. Elliott encouraged me to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! It was empowering to discover that I am equipped to defend myself, effectively, in the face of an attack, without any special equipment, at my current weight and fitness level! The course required 4 hours of time and a modest fee. The results were priceless! Every woman in American needs this information!

I trained with Terry when he owned the place. I just started boxing again with the new owner, Ian, and it's great. The same exact feeling as before -- super welcoming gym, a legit place to learn how to box. None of that kickboxing stuff! Also I'm a girl, and I feel totally welcome here. No masculine aggro b.s. And it feels completely badass to learn how to *actually* box, the real way. And get some anger out on the bags! I highly recommend.

My experience with Oscar was amazing, I learned a lot more than I expected in a one hour session. He definitely pushed me past my limits, especially with my conditioning, since it’s been a while since I’ve trained. Overall had a blast training with Oscar.
