About Me

Hi, I'm Karolyn! I'm new to Lessons.com but have many years of experience in the piano community. I've been playing the piano for over 30 years and teaching for over 20. I work with children, teens, adults and seniors at all levels—from absolute beginners to advanced players—helping each student grow their skills with clear goals and meeting them where they are in the process.

I've collaborated with composers and musicians to bring their digital piano creations to life, whether it’s refining arrangements or making sure the composition is player friendly. It's exciting to bridge the gap between digital composition and real-world performance. Its a privilege to work alongside other musicians, published composers and arrangers.

I also have hardware and software available to record digitally and create mp3, allowing students the option of having a digital portfolio for their social media pages or just for fun!

I'm currently completing an online degree in Piano Performance at Berklee College of Music, where I'm deepening both my technique and love for piano instruction. I've had the immense pleasure of studying with Hey Rim Jeon, Dave Limina and Christian Li just to name a few!

Whether you're learning for fun, preparing for auditions, or coming back to music after a break, lessons are tailored to your pace, interests, and goals.

My teaching style is supportive, clear, and focused on building confident, expressive musicianship. Please feel free to reach out!

In person and online lessons available!

Rates: $130 flat fee for a month of 30 min weekly lessons at appointed day/time,

but I am also flexible and work with 45 min or 60 min, every other week, once a month, etc!
