About
Private violin and viola instrustruction with over 25 years experience. I received my training at Champman University with a BS with an emphasis in instrumental performance. I have performed in major venues across the US as a freelance musician, and an 8 year veteran of the AFM in Southern California and have performed on Major Motion Picture soundtracks, symphonies, recording studios and string ensembles. I am member of the American String Teachers Association, Phoenix Musician Teachers Association, the National Music Teachers Association and contracted for a string quartet for over 20 years. I offer one-on-one lessons at my in-home studio as well as Zoom lessons, or a combination of both.
Students learn the art of playing the violin using proper technique while enjoying themselves. Former students have gone in to perform with major symphonies in the US as well as Europe. They have toured with recording artists Adele, John Legend, Elton John, etc, and can currently be seen performing with the Vitamin String Quartet, on the Grammy's, Oscars and the the Country Music Awards.
I offer many styles of musical playing and tailor each lesson to the students goals, combining conservatory and Suzuki methods, as well music theory and a solid basis in proper technique.
I look forward to hearing from you! Cathy
