Matt is a scholar in music, with extensive knowledge of music theory,

music education, and music history including classical and pop/rock and many other styles. He is skilled at explaining and demonstrating simple and sophisticated music concepts in easy-to-understand laymans terms. His strong familiarity with popular culture, and his reliable sense of humor, also make him a favorite music instructor. Very recommended.

I was an older student in my 50s when I took up singing, piano and music theory lessons with Matt. I could not believe my progress and I think that it was due to Matt being such a great teacher! He has such a keen ear that he would notice and politely point out nuances, so that I improved quickly. He was just the best teacher and Id still be taking from him if I had not moved across the country. I highly recommend him as a teacher. Plus, he has a pleasant, you-can-do-this attitude.

Matthew is a respected music professional from A-Z. He does NOT preach. He teaches music to the point that you BELIEVE you can do anything-that no lesson is to difficult to learn. I am happy to know that Im learning from the best of the best.
