I have been studying jazz with Jim Grantham for several years. (He also teaches pop music.) Graduating with highest honors from the Berklee College of Music, he teaches all instruments and is very knowledgeable about theory as well as practice. Learning theory with his method enables me to better understand what I am hearing and doing. He is patient, kind and fun. I especially enjoy the assignments where I write my own tunes and have them critiqued by him.
