I have a unique abilty to bring the music out of people. Inspiring people to play music has been a life long commitment I have shared at countless schools, coummuntiy events, homes and churches. Self taught at age 5, I was singing and playing drums and piano very well. By 10 I was figerpicking anything wiht a string.
I find ways for you to more easily overcome your challenges with different finger postions and excercises tailored to you.
It brings me such joy when I witness a student get lost in the music.
I have led my own band for 21 years where the members have changed periodically. I have even called starngers and stundents up to the stage for a song that they may still be learning. I have written over a thousand songs, made 6 full length albums some of whcih are avialble on all the popluar streaming sights. Working on a another album at the moment which will be avialble soon.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First is fInding out what their favorite songs are. Then asking which song they would like to learn first. If they do not know, I have a lot of familiar easier songs we can start with. I then meet the student at their skill level and find ways to help them advance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Teaching music privately for 27 years. Studied music history. 21 yaars as a Pararoffesional with Palo Alto Unified School District.

Depending on my travel time for the lesson I generally charge $30 for a 20 minute lesson, $40 for a 30 minute lesson, $50 for a 40 minute lesson etc. When traveling to students I add $5.
