About
I’m Samantha! I’m a songwriter, vocalist, and guitar player from Los Angeles. I’ve been making music ever since I can remember. I grew up in a very musical household— my dad was in a band and my mom runs a business that teaches music to infants and toddlers. My younger sister and I began singing together and harmonizing when we were 3 and 5, and we still perform together all the time. I started playing ukulele when I was 8 and guitar when I was 12. After I bought my first guitar, I started writing songs. Songwriting changed the game for me. It was my answer for self expression and better understanding myself. I attended Musicians Institute and The Songwriting School of Los Angeles where I studied voice, guitar, and songwriting. I’ve been releasing my music and building my audience for around 7 years now. I often perform in LA with my band at places like The Mint, Hotel Cafe, Molly Malone’s, and The Viper Room.
Becoming a teacher has been such an expansive and positive experience for me. I’m passionate about using my experience and training to help others, and I love seeing my students grow and build confidence over time. When my students are inspired, I’m inspired— That’s what it’s all about for me. Music is healing and music is fun. Anyone can do it! If you are drawn to music, you should nurture that interest. I’m happy to help with whatever you need!
