About
As a teacher of 26 years I have a wealth of knowledge in the study of the guitar. I am a Berklee College of Music alumni, and hold a BA in music from Sonoma State University. I have taught a beginning/intermediate guitar class at Santa Rosa Junior College. and am now teaching jazz guitar in the applied music program at the Junior College. I have been on the faculty as an adjunct for 11 years. I have taught hundreds of students over the years. Many have gone on to successful careers teaching and performing.
Playing professionally in and around the Bay Area for 28 years, I have worked in small groups in various styles. Larger productions include the Marin Symphony and Broadway pit orchestras. Music is my passion in life, and I enjoy passing on my love of music through teaching. Whether the student wants to pursue a career in music, or just wants to learn to play their favorite songs, I can help them to achieve those goals.
