Great Performances Studio

I offer students lessons in voice, piano, drum set, guitar, and writing/arranging/theory. Voice lessons with me can take many forms, depending on each client's unique desires. Students who are ready for the stage are prepared for their set lists and performance challenges, while beginners are exposed to a variety of genres and taught how to be at their best. My lessons are a supportive and fun opportunity for growth and creativity where students become comfortable with taking risks and challenging themselves. A combination of Bel Canto, pop, musical theater, and/or country styles and breath support techniques are introduced to meet the needs of today's singers of various genres. Live performances and recordings are scheduled in keeping with each student's development and career goals.

Piano lessons are offered to ages Kindergarten and up. Lessons are highly supportive and fun because learning the piano should be a process of discovery and beauty, not boredom! Select students may enroll in the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum with me, which leads to level testing and a through knowledge of ear training and theory. I teach students how to read music securely, play accurately with beauty and feeling, and how to practice songs strategically. My goal is to give each student a lifelong ability to play piano well, entertain others, and enjoy themselves in the process!

I am able to guide emerging artists on marketing, demo production, stage performance skills, and audition prep, song writing, song pitching, performances in Nashville, Southern California and other markets. Training the voice takes time and commitment. Clients have won or been featured in a variety of contests, including America's Got Talent, North County Idol, All-State Chorus, various county fairs and talent shows, and have gained admission into coveted university music programs such as the esteemed Berklee College of Music Summer Program, the University of Southern California's Thorton School of Music, and San Diego State University. ​Students have also been featured in lead and supporting roles in musicals and have gone on to star in collegiate opera productions.

I enjoy helping students through challenging technique issues and how to reduce pitch and performance anxiety. I enjoy creating a supportive environment for music instruction.
