About
I offer lessons in voice, piano, music theory, flute, clarinet, saxophone, violin, viola, french horn, trombone, and euphonium. I was trained in many teaching methodologies and cater the lessons to the learning styles of each student. I hold two bachelor's in Music Instruction and Music Business. I am a classically trained Mezzo Soprano and performed semi professionally for 12 years.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first lesson is an introduction for both sides to assess, abilities, musicianship level, interests, and map out a course for further lessons. I will recommend books for students based on level and instrument and provide the student with practice materials as needed.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find an instructor you feel comfortable with and who you understand, and that can help you progress. Find an instructor who is going to encourage you and support your goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I willing to practice? What instrument(s) do I want to learn? Do I connect with and understand my teacher and their directions?
